At Moments Custom Candle Collection, every candle is handcrafted with care to bring beauty, warmth, and a meaningful experience into your space. To enjoy your candle safely and get the best burn, please follow the care instructions below.

Before Lighting Your Candle

Always place your candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface before lighting. Keep your candle away from anything that can catch fire, including curtains, paper, fabric, decorations, flowers, and loose packaging.

Before each burn, trim the wick to approximately 1/4 inch. This helps prevent large flames, excess smoke, uneven burning, and black soot around the container.

Remove all packaging, tags, ribbons, gift bags, cards, and decorative wrapping before lighting your candle.

While Your Candle Is Burning

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Always keep candles within sight and keep them away from children and pets.

Do not move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is still hot. The container, wax, and decorative pieces may become very warm during use.

For the best candle experience, burn your candle for no more than 4 hours at a time. Burning longer than 4 hours can cause the wick to become unstable, the flame to grow too large, or the container to become too hot.

Keep the candle away from drafts, fans, vents, open windows, and high-traffic areas. Drafts can cause uneven burning, flickering, smoking, or tunneling.

Dessert Candles & Decorative Candles

Some Moments candles are designed to look like desserts, flowers, drinks, or custom gifts. These candles are for decorative and burning purposes only. They are not edible.

Decorative wax embeds, toppings, fruit shapes, flowers, glitter, herbs, or other design elements may shift as the candle burns. Always keep an eye on decorative candles while lit and stop burning if the flame becomes too high or unsafe.

If your candle contains large decorative wax pieces, allow the candle to burn on a heat-safe dish, tray, or candle holder to protect your surface.

Floating Candles

Floating candles should only be used in a safe, heat-resistant container filled with water. Place the candle gently on the water surface and make sure it floats evenly before lighting.

Never leave floating candles unattended. Keep them away from children, pets, fabric, paper decorations, and crowded table areas.

Do not burn floating candles near flammable centerpiece items unless there is enough safe space between the flame and the decoration.

When to Stop Burning

Stop using your candle when approximately 1/2 inch of wax remains at the bottom of the container. Burning a candle all the way down can cause the container to overheat or crack.

If the flame becomes too high, flickers excessively, smokes heavily, or the container becomes too hot, extinguish the candle immediately and allow it to cool before handling.

Extinguishing Your Candle

Use a candle snuffer when possible to safely extinguish the flame. If blowing out the candle, blow gently to avoid splashing hot wax.

Allow the wax to fully cool and harden before relighting, moving, or touching the candle.

Storage

Store candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. Extreme heat may cause wax to soften, melt, discolor, or lose scent strength.

Keep candles covered or packaged when not in use to protect them from dust and debris.
